Well Mother's Day was all that I expected it to be...flowers, a wonderful breakfast made with love by my three favorite chefs, and much doting.
But, in the center of it all I felt empty and kind of shallow. I kept asking when more was going to be done. When are we going to do this? When do you think we can get to that? I should have stopped to appreciate the work that had already been done. Sometimes when we are given a lot we learn to only take.
So, on this Mother's Day...I gave back. I gave attention to those who needed it and said kind words to those who put forth so much effort into making today so special.
